Campbell La Pun

Campbell La Pun

Born in New Zealand in 1983, he grew up in Melbourne, Australia’s second-largest city.
Before building his career as an artist, he worked as an office worker in Melbourne, producing music for T.V. and short films and playing in various bands. Out of curiosity and diverse interests and perspectives, he started making art in 2013.
As he worked steadily as an artist, he began holding group and solo exhibitions at galleries in various countries, including Australia, the U.S., Japan, and Hong Kong. In addition, he was named a finalist for the “Stencil Art Prize” and has steadily established a career as a pop artist.
His works express the beauty of detailed, urban stencil art with bright and vibrant colors. Many Hollywood celebrities are among the collectors of his works.
Originally a lover of Japanese culture, he is now based in Okinawa, Japan. Many of his works incorporate Japanese elements, including animated characters and motifs of cherry blossoms, the national flower of Japan.
