AND COLLECTION Contemporary Art is pleased to participate in ART TAIPEI 2023. Our booth (No.L12) will showcase a group exhibition featuring 5 talented artists. We are looking forward to see you there.

[Artist List]

◼︎Yoichiro Ando

In 1997, he began working as an illustrator and graphic designer. Since 2000, he has expanded his activities as “YOICHIRO” to participate in live painting linked with fashion and music, to engage in merchandise design with some corporations. Many works by YOICHIRO ANDO feature a partially hidden part of a person’s face. The artist cuts off the information source to isolate from your senses by covering the parts of your body. He then allows the viewers to contemplate the feelings and personalities of others, to reflect on who we are and our purpose in lives.

◼︎Teruhiko Kobashi

Born in 1971 in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Inspired by a friend who is an artist, he began painting seriously.Teruhiko Kobashi self-taught himself in painting, creating more than 100 works as a painter, and he held his first solo painting exhibition “Visualization of Sound” in his hometown of Hakodate in 2023. The theme of his work is to visualize the tones of sounds as he comes from a band and his musical background. Allowing the viewers to witness his expressions by adopting pale, fleeting colors that is reminiscent of the traditional Japanese technique of Suiboku-ga (ink painting).

◼︎Asuka Zen

The artist focuses on life, drawing inspiration from the natural world, such as the river’s flow, the ocean’s waves, and the forest’s light. ZEN takes “water,” as in source of life that overlaps with herself and sublimates such unconscious and indispensable energy into her works. Her energetic works, which seem to have just been born, are created in harmony with coincidence, with a vibrant and lively expression of scattering, splashing, and splattering moves. They motivate the viewers and encourage them to take a new step forward.

◼︎Tsunahisa Ogino

Tsunahisa Ogino, a former rock musician, has made his career transition to art industry in 2015, after devoting to music for over 15 years.Since his days as a musician, he has brought out his creativity in musical composition and lyric writing. The idea and his experiences of creating non-formable things such as music and to give life to it, has become a strong foundation in his music creation, and for his art production to pour his passions into.

◼︎Elena

Elena has been increasingly expanding her opportunities on art practices by live-painting and wall painting, adopting the style of free-handing without drafts introducing her original character “chibi-chan” in various sets of styles.
Her recent representative work “Surfing Ochibi” which placed as a tribute to Hokusai Katsushika’s “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (Fugaku sanjūrokkei)” is a great example of explaining her own unique style of adorable characters and enchanting colors mixed with Hokusai’s traditional techniques.
