Flore

Flore

He is an American artist born in Brooklyn, NY in 1983.
Flore embodies ‘the spirit of Keith Haring’ and is closely influenced by artists such as Jean Michel Basquiat and George Condo. He describes his work as “Urban Cubism,” a style that mixes the abstract expressionism of Willem de Kooning with the street art of Basquiat.
Handwritten text is written in boxes that look like stacks of post-its, and the passages are stacked on top of each other.
They express names, advertising slogans, personal reminders, television shows, lyrics.Sometimes a word or phrase is written and then crossed out. Or the words may be partially hidden behind another bit of text, in the way that thoughts sometimes crowd each other out.
He calls the character with the comical eyes and mocking bared teeth that epitomize his style “the monster in my mind,” expressing surprise, fear, and anger.
In 2016, he held an exhibition at Art Basel Miami at the invitation of Swiss luxury watch brand HUBLOT, and in 2017, he visited Japan to do a live painting at the Nakamura Keith Haring Museum, the only museum in the world dedicated to Keith Haring. He has exhibited at many other international art shows and is constantly receiving orders from various art collectors and celebrities from around the world, and the scope of his activities and attention are increasing every year.
